Three little hedgies

I have made this card for a friends birthday, she likes clear cut colours and not too much bling, so I hope she will like the three little hedgies and the accompanying tartan paper and flower.
Coloured lightly with my promarkers I have left areas to highlight their tutus and have edged with my chalks.
I am entering this into the following challenges and I do apologise for typing in red, but blogger will not let me put it back to white.
Thanks for looking
Hugs from Heidi x

Celebrations in purple for my mums birthday

Hallo all, this card has been made for my mum for her 65th birthday this week, she is looking extremely well for her 65 years and I am very proud of her. I have used an image that I coloured a wee while ago when I only had a few promarkers but the colours were good so I matched papers and made up a card for her. The lilac card is textured/embossed to be like leather effect, and the dark purple lightweight card that I used for the larger nestibility has a beautiful floral embossed pattern on it, hard to show in the photo, sorry.
I added the stickles glitter to her wings to give her a little zing.
The Nestabilities that I used were the eyelets and the beaded circles, one of which I won in some candy that I entered at Sweet Stampin, it was purely by chance that I noticed it on a sidebar of a blog that I follow and I went over to check it out. Great Blog and fun challenges.
Around the Nestabilities I popped wee pearls, and added some lovely mulberry flowers which were attached using some pearl brads. The lace that has been popped under the main image area horizontally is from a pretty wash set that I received a couple of years ago from a friend.
The wee tag is from a freebie chipboard set from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and has been attached with a small piece of organza ribbon that I tied into a bow. The wee charm is tibetan silver and from my beady stash.
The inside I have used some more embossed leather like lilac, a papermania butterfly attached with brad, more lace and a hand made flower, made using my punches, some wetting and scrunching then drying and attaching.
Many many thanks for looking and these are the challenges that I am popping my card into:-)

Some Sunshine Inspiration

This lovely little box has been made using some DCWV card/paper, some gorgeous silk and mulberry flowers. A brad to fix them on the top and then another brad on the side to act as a hook for the beads that I used to make the loop fixture.
The sun was shining brilliantly when I made this box (seems ages ago, but was only two days actually) and the big yellow flower seemed appropriate.
I am entering this box into
Try it on Tuesday - which has a sunshine theme this week
Thanks for looking

The Rules

Simple really, either be a follower or become a follower, but please if you are only after candy or have a 'Candy Blog' please please don't enter as you will not be counted. Sorry but nobody likes a candy grabber.

Please pop the above photo on your sidebar and a link back to this post.

Then leave me a comment

One entry only per person please and my dear hubby will get to draw names from a hat at the end of the candy. Of course the date for that would be useful, so I'll make it midnight (gmt) the 21st June (longest day of the year and Summer Solstice)

Well I'm off now to peruse the Squigglestamps Store as I want to add some of their stamps to my candy.

I think there is a little of something for everyone in this pile, I know its not huge, but I hope that you will like the selection.

Hugs and enjoy

Heidi x

PS please note that I have four kiddies and June is a busy school month, so I may not get to post the winner instantly, just so as you know and are not hopping back and forth. xx

TONIGHT My candy closes at midnight gmt TONIGHT

There's still time to enter my candy and as not many of you have popped your name down, the few who have, have all got good odds.
It is open to all, but don't worry if you miss it, I will be putting on some more small candy in the month of August. Something sweet for summer.
Hugs to you all
and if you have been missing me I do apologise, but June is hectic here in our house, it is the last month of school before summer starts up here in Dufftown.
I have got lots to show you, but have had no time to post.

Fathers Day card with a fiery dragon who eats marshmallows hee hee........

This gorgeous dragon is by lisa victoria at Sweet Pea stamps, I have coloured with my Promarkers and have hi-lighted with white pen and gold pen. I followed a sketch for my dads card and used some papers that I won in the Winter Wonderland blog hop of a week or so ago. Thanks Jane (it was her candy that I won and it is lovely). Oh and by the way don't forget I have candy up on offer as well it is found here ---
http://mainland-magic.blogspot.com/2011/05/candy-time-about-time-i-hear-you-say.html
The sentiment is a simple peel off and has been put on a punched circle that has been layered onto two large flower punch shapes.
The bling is from my stash some pretty green leaves and the ribbon I tried to distress a little before using not sure if I am happy with the finished result on that but never mind eh?
The diecut shapes (tag and long floral) are from a chipboard garden set from papermania that resurfaced when I found it wedged at the back of the drawer so that was a nice surprise!
I have edged everything with my black cats eye pigment chalk.

Goth Kaya for a Totally Gorjuss Challenge and SCSC

Well this gorgeous goth girlie is called Kaya and she is from Pink Gem Designs http://www.pinkgemdesigns.com/catalog/
I have coloured with my promarkers and have followed a sketch from Totally Gorjuss Challenges (link below) and an inspirational photo challenge from The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenges (link below).
I have used a freebie paper by Rowena Stott 'The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady' that I got in a Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine (the yellow one). I have also used some plain papermania and some gorgeous floral papermania from one of their collections.
I cut an oval with my sizzix, used some mulberry, foam and silk flowers all attached with yellow mini brads and matted and layered up. I haven't added a sentiment as I thought this might be a useful card to leave blank to be added to at a future date. Always handy to have in the cupboard (especially when you have 3 girlies)
I do have another project to share with you but as it is for Granny's birthday and she takes a peek at my blog every now and then; it will have to wait patiently on the back boiler.
I can let you know that I bought 2 Goth Kaya's, one for me and one for my candy pile so now you know that Kaya can be won at this link. http://mainland-magic.blogspot.com/2011/05/candy-time-about-time-i-hear-you-say.html
So go comment and you could be the candy winner come 21st June.
Thanks for looking and here are the challenge links

Bracelet Bling and an altered note pad

Well this is a little creation to send to one of my goddaughters later on this year. She doesn't like too much fuss, so I am hoping this simply decorated pad and the bracelet will suffice.

I have used a freebie stamp that is from my very old (over 5yrs) stash. Inked up with versamark, brilliance and pretty colour ink pads, then used my I Kan Dee pearlescent chalks on the versamark. I attached a piece of gold creative ribbon from Dovecraft, and threaded it through the toggle loop on the bracelet.

I am entering this into
